Copyright- the exclusive and assignable legal right given to the originator for a fixed number of years to print, publish, perform, film or record literacy, artistic or music material.

·      Literacy works

What does copyright give holders?
·      Right to reproduce the work
·      Right to prepare derivative work
·      Right to distribute
How long does copy right last?
·      A copyright last for life plus 70 years for individuals for anything g made on or after 1978
·      A copyright last for 90 years for corporate authors after publication for anything after 1978.
What is infringement?
Copyright infringement is the use of works under copyright, infringing the copyright holders exclusive rights, such as the right to reproduce, distribute, display or perform the copyrighted work., or to make derivative without permission from the copyright holder, which is typically a publisher or other business representing or assigned by the work’s creator.
